The Coffee Code is an independent publication about coffee: the culture, the chains, the economics, and the daily rituals built around it. We write the articles, build the tools, and maintain a nationwide directory of coffee shops compiled from public map data.

Where the directory data comes from
Directory listings are compiled from public data, principally the Overture Maps Foundation open dataset, cleaned and organized by us. Coffee shops open, close, move, and change hours constantly, so treat every listing as a starting point and verify with the business before making a trip. We have no relationship with listed businesses; nobody can pay to be listed, ranked, or removed (though we will correct genuine errors).
